Java Short - byteValue() Method
The java.lang.Short.byteValue() method returns the value of this Short as a byte after a narrowing primitive conversion.
Syntax
public short byteValue()
Parameters
No parameter is required.
Return Value
Returns the numeric value represented by this object after conversion to type byte.
